Our PGCEi course is a blended, distance learning course. It is compulsory to attend this element under the University's Regulations Governing Attendance and Engagement.
Online 

Supported distance learning (using Moodle, plus email, Skype, video conferencing etc, as appropriate).

Completion of formative tasks and summative assignments.

Fees

There is a fixed fee of £3,840.

The tuition fee includes registration, tuition, initial assessment, graduation etc. There are no additional fees payable to the University for resources. Fees can be paid in two equal instalments as follows:

  • First instalment - 1 December 2018
  • Second instalment - 1 February 2019
  • Third instalment - 1 April 2019
  • Fourth instalment - 1 June 2019

During the application process you will be asked to provide a personal statment. This should be about your previous experience, what you hope to gain from the course, and plans for your future career. You should include details about your teaching and learning experiences. You should explain what you have learned from those experiences, and how you think the PGCEi will be able to help you develop as a teacher in future. If you have done other work in which you have trained people, or worked in a teacher-style role or as an educator, please include details of these too. You should aim to write approximately 500-700 words.
