This section provides information for employees and Heads of School/Departments of the procedure to be followed for re-grading a role within one of our job families.
The Re-grading Procedure is applicable to all roles within the Technical Services Job Family and the Administrative, Professional and Managerial (APM) Job Family and the Operations and Facilities (O&F) Job Family.
The Re-grading Procedure runs three times a year. This gives Schools/Departments the flexibility to apply to have a role considered for re-grading, when the role appears to “best fit” an appropriate higher level in the job family.
You are advised to check whether your School/Department has any earlier internal deadlines which you will be requried to meet as part of the regrading process.
Applications should be submitted to HR by the key deadline.
Please note that applications received after the submission dates will not be considered.
We require all applications to be submitted electronically as a signed PDF and also as a Word document on the current version of the Re-grading Role Profile Form above. We do not require a hardcopy in the post.
