HR Staff Consultation Hub

Following the 2017 Staff Engagement Survey, feedback indicated that staff would like further opportunities to provide input into changes proposed within the University.

The VC Blog in June 2018 committed to a covenant with staff to ensure University decision-making benefits from the expertise and ideas found across our University community. As part of HR’s work to support this covenant, we have developed this web page to help keep staff informed about opportunities to contribute to work being developed across a range of people-related topics.  Internal HR led activities or consultations, which you can contribute your ideas and expertise to, will be promoted via this page.

May 2019 Performance Related Reward - All staff focus groups (160 participants).
January 2019 Performance Related Reward - All staff focus groups (155 participants). The feedback was presented to University Committees and has informed next step discussions in relation to Performance Related Reward.
December 2018/January 2019 PDPR Review/Performance Related Reward - All staff focus groups (143 participants). The feedback, with a focus on PDPR, has supported the design of the Appraisal Development Conversations (ADC) process.
December 2018 Academic Promotions - Academic staff survey (270 participants). The results have been presented to the Academic Promotions Steering Group to support the development of the promotions criteria.
July 2018 Employee Hub (Phase 1)/Employee Benefits - All staff focus groups (over 70 participants). The feedback was used to shape additional voluntary benefits and to support both the business case and procurement of the Employee Hub - now live!
May 2018 Senior Pay - Academic staff survey (over 300 participants). The results have informed the developing design of the Senior Pay project.
