NottFAR concert series

The Nottingham Forum for Artistic Research (NottFAR) is a concert and event series curated by Dr Elizaeth Kelly and Dr Xenia Pestova.

The forum features performances and composers from the staff at the University of Nottingham, alongside acclaimed guests from around the UK and abroad. 


2017/18 events programme

14 November, 4.30pm - Arts Centre Lecture Theatre
Special colloquium featuring guest presenters David Trippett, University of Cambridge: "An uncrossable Rubicon: Liszt's Sardanapale revisited” and Andrew McPherson, Queen Mary University of London discussing his work with music technology and composition.

NottFAR presents: Xenia Pestova, piano: “GOTHIC”

Pianist and University of Nottingham Director of Performance Xenia Pestova presents a varied and exciting solo programme of timeless classics and contemporary works. Music by Bach, Debussy and Scarlatti is juxtaposed with new pieces by living composers in a sparkling mosaic of styles and influences, showing us connections between past and present.

Music by Patricia Alessandrini, J.S. Bach, Ed Bennett, Leo Chadburn, Debussy, Richard Emsley, Heather Hindman, Annea Lockwood, Scarlatti and Arlene Sierra.
