Libraries Operations supports the whole of Libraries, offering services relating to planning and change, people and culture, operations and service performance, as well as support for the Libraries’ Senior Leadership Team.

Departmental Operations
Our operations activity aims to provide strong foundations for both individual and departmental success.
We ensure Libraries runs smoothly by managing risk and compliance, providing essential HR support, and supporting staff development through training and learning opportunities.
Programme Management
Our Programme Management team drives the successful delivery of departmental priorities by leading programmes and projects from planning through to completion.
They provide structure, oversight, and coordination to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard. By aligning resources, managing risks, and tracking progress, they turn strategic goals into tangible outcomes that benefit our users, our colleagues and the wider university.
People and Culture
Our People and Culture activity aims to create an environment where people and teams can thrive.
The team works to strengthen Libraries by fostering clear and consistent communication, cultivating an inclusive and positive culture, and driving engagement initiatives that connect people to our shared purpose.
Executive Support
The Executive Support team provides our Senior Leadership Team, and particularly the Director and Deputy Director, with the administrative, organisational, and strategic assistance they need to focus on high-level decision-making and business priorities.
