Biography
Dr Hannah Elwick holds an MSc in Psychological Research Methods and a PhD in Neuropsychology. Her doctoral research focused on developing remote, digital neuropsychological assessments for use in clinical care for people with Multiple Sclerosis.
Hannah is based at MindTech, a research centre funded by the NIHR and located within the Institute of Mental Health, and is currently funded by the NIHR Mental Health Translational Research Collaboration (MH-TRC) Mission. Her current work focuses on developing remote, digital assessments for children, young people, and adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Hannah has extensive experience in the development, validation, and management of outcome measures across diverse populations and health conditions in both academic and industry settings using qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
As a Research Associate at the University of Nottingham, Hannah developed and validated a quality of life measure for adult carers. She also has experience as a Research Manager within clinical research organisations, running studies to explore patient experience, and how to measure the symptoms and impacts of a range of health conditions. She led embedded in-trial and end-of-trial studies to capture patient experiences of participating in clinical trials, and developed and validated outcome measures for patients, clinicians, and carers, and was involved in a range of regulatory activities with the FDA and EMA. At the University of Oxford, where she worked as a Technology Transfer Manager, Hannah was involved in the licensing and management of outcome measures, which included developing best practices for digital implementation of outcome measures for the NHS.
Hannah's experience spans neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders, as well as neurology, urology, hepatology, sleep medicine, dermatology, and respiratory care.
