Be part of the Green Generation

Tree Planting

Green Generation is all about engaging young people (ages 16-25) in meaningful volunteering opportunities that promote sustainability, inclusivity, and community well-being. This initiative is not only developing green skills but also boosting confidence and aspirations while supporting Bolsover District’s Community and Voluntary Service

How You Can Get Involved:

  1. Try a ‘Give It a Go’ Day – One-day volunteering opportunities for those short on time, or as a taster to see if you enjoy the activity before committing to attending for longer.
  2. Tree Planting at Hardwick Hall: Help restore our natural environment with the Hardwick Team – 1 March 2025.
  3. Great British Spring Clean: We’ve teamed up with community groups across Bolsover District to arrange 6 litter pick sessions, check out where your local one is and come along for a few hours to help us keep your community tidy.
  4. Community Allotment: Join the team at Freedom Project allotment, get your hands dirty planting, weeding or harvesting fresh produce - 17 March 2025.

All opportunties can be found on: BCVS - plinth  / BCVS Volunteering

Partner with Us – We’re looking for voluntary groups and organisations to host opportunities.

 What's been achieved so far

  1. Developed project controls to improve efficiency, track progress, and measure impact
  2. Built a strong volunteer network with referral pathways to connect young people with the right opportunities
  3. Supported existing voluntary and community groups to create eco-focused opportunities

Follow & Share – Stay updated and help spread the word!

Together, we’re creating a greener, more connected future. Let’s grow a Green Generation!
