This section provides information for employees and Heads of School/Departments of the procedure to be followed for regrading a role within one of our job families.

The Re-grading Procedure is applicable to all roles within the Technical Services Job Family and the Administrative, Professional and Managerial (APM) Job Family.

The Re-grading Procedure runs three times a year. This gives Schools/Departments the flexibility to apply to have a role considered for re-grading, when the role appears to “best fit” an appropriate higher level in the job family.

The key dates for the academic year 2012/2013 are as follows:

 

Submission: by Friday 5 October 2012

Re-grading Panels:

  • Wednesday 7 November 2012 (TS roles)
  • Thursday 8 November 2012 (APM roles)
  • Friday 9 November 2012 (APM roles)

Hay Review Panel: Wednesday 21 November 2012

Effective from: 1 December 2012

Submission: by Friday 8 February 2013

Re-grading Panels:

  • Thursday 7 March 2013 (TS roles)
  • Friday 8 March 2013 (APM roles)
  • Monday 11 March 2013 (APM roles)

Hay Review Panel: Wednesday 20 March 2013

Effective from: 1 April 2013

Submission: by Friday 24 May 2013

Re-grading Panels:

  • Wednesday 19 June 2013 (TS roles)
  • Thursday 20 June 2013 (APM roles)
  • Friday 21 June 2013 (APM roles)

Hay Review Panel: Wednesday 10 July 2013

Effective from: 1 August 2013
