Don't let anyone ever tell you that punctuation is unimportant. When you write something, you already know what you mean. But other people need punctuation to help them read it in the way you meant it to be understood.

Taking the time to make sure that people will be able to read our writing quickly and easily, and without misunderstanding or ambiguity, shows we care.

We apply a less-is-more philosophy to punctuation: use as little punctuation as necessary to convey the meaning of the sentence.
