Our Executive Education team are here to provide you with the support you need to fully understand the learning and developmental needs of you and your organisation.

From identifying specific requirements, developing ideas and solutions to delivering professional programmes and workshops we will work closely with you to provide a world-class learning experience.

We come from a range of backgrounds including business incubation and start-up mentoring, corporate learning and development, higher education executive development with a consistent record of delivering world-class customer focussed solutions throughout our careers.

The team works closely with academics, business leaders and entrepreneurs from across the globe who provide the underpinning expertise that goes into our programmes. We look forward to hearing from you.

David Park

David Park

Director of Executive Education

As Director of Executive Education at Nottingham University Business School, David is responsible for overall strategic vision and delivery.

Appointed as a Professor of Practice in 2017, he lectures in entrepreneurship, IP commercialisation and innovation at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He also actively mentors a variety of student, staff and alumni start-up businesses through the University's Ingenuity Lab, and runs public training and evening classes about starting a business.

He is an Entrepreneur in Residence (under the UK's Small Business Charter) actively supporting a number of early-stage companies across the UK at both strategic and operational levels.

As well as his expertise in academia and professional training, David has a wealth of practical entrepreneurial experience gained in the UK and New Zealand from starting and running his own innovative businesses in a variety of sectors including: robotics, geospatial engineering, employability skills development, and commercialising new food ingredients.

He has first-hand experience raising start-up funds, growing effective, multi-disciplinary teams, and completing multimillion-dollar licensing deals with a FTSE100 plc.

Michelle Hill

Michelle Hill

Business Development Manager for Executive Education

Michelle is the Business Development Manager for Executive Education at Nottingham University Business School.

Michelle joined the University in September 2015 following a 17 year career at Rolls-Royce. During her career, Michelle successfully developed and delivered a range of executive education collaboration projects for customer and government stakeholders in key markets including China and the Middle East.

These projects aimed to develop the competencies of customer delegates in global business themes preparing them for more senior roles. Michelle was acknowledged to have significantly contributed to sustained commercial relationships and business success in these markets as a direct result of these programmes.

Michelle’s role in the Executive Education team is to collaborate with clients to understand their learning and people development needs. She brings together the expertise of our academics and partners to develop solutions to provide organisations with the skills to support business growth and expansion.

Michelle graduated from the University of Wolverhampton in 1996 with a Bachelor of Laws LLB (Hons).

David Falzani

Professor David Falzani MBE

Business consultant, entrepreneur and professor

David is a business consultant, entrepreneur and professor, with extensive executive and strategic business development experience in various industries.

David began his career at IBM and after attending The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, worked in consulting with a variety of clients including BAE Systems, Marks & Spencer and 3i, including mergers and acquisitions transactions totalling over £11 billion.

He has participated as a founder, director or investor in over 16 entrepreneurial companies in four countries, helping raise over £36 million in venture capital.

David has also advised chief executive officers on the challenges of pursuing and delivering growth, and has an in-depth understanding of the techniques that enable this.

As well as a mentor, he is a trainer for growth programmes such as those with The Royal Academy of Engineering and the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses programme at Oxford University. He has published over 70 articles and blogs.

Susan Cotterill

Senior Administration Officer for Executive Education

Sue joined the University of Nottingham in January 2007 as an experienced university administrator specialising in programme management.

Passionate about delivering high quality customer service and engagement with business, Sue is responsible for the operational and administrative support for the Business School’s Executive Education, External Engagement event management and the Executive MBA Senior Leader Apprenticeship Degree programme.
