Sustainable tourism

Tourism is one of the world’s fastest growing sectors and a focus of much of our work towards fostering responsible business and consumer relations. In the Department of Marketing, Tourism and Analytics, our expertise in tourist behaviour, host-guest relations, destination marketing and management, and visitor economy development drive this theme.

To us, sustainable tourism means:

  • global leadership in sustainable and responsible tourism policy and planning
  • local partnerships to embed the SDGs in visitor economies
  • tackling challenges through community-led knowledge exchange
