HSK Level 4 - Part A

This module is designed for students who have completed all previous levels of HSK courses or students with equivalent language skills. Excellent command of Pinyin and a speaking and listening vocabulary vocabulary of 600 words are prerequisites starting the course.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

• develop a speaking and listening vocabulary of approximately 750 words (vocabulary)
• have discussions around general topics including love, friendship, interview, job and shopping
• understand the function and grasp the usage of some important Chinese language points
• understand two-turn dialogues of approximately 90 Chinese characters or a passage of approximately 80 Chinese characters (listening)
• be able to conduct group speaking activities related to the above topics with language structures covered in the text (speaking)
• read passages of approximately 160 characters related to the above topics (reading)
• write short passages of approximately 60 characters (writing)
• understand more Chinese culture related to the course content (culture)
