Emma Tickle - Assistant Professor and Course Leader
Emma is the PCE-CfD course leader. She trained as a PCE therapist in 2008 at diploma, then masters level. Emma has taught on the university’s counselling programmes since 2013. A teacher for over 20 years, Emma also provides Continuing Professional Development, PCE-therapy and clinical supervision. She is currently undertaking her PhD, investigating PCE as a resource towards social justice while applying a social justice lens to decolonise the PCE approach. Emma contributes to the Centre for Research in Human Flourishing at the University of Nottingham.

Richard Doyle - Assistant Professor
Richard holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and is a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Richard is a counsellor in the voluntary sector and in a student counselling service. In his private counselling practice he has a particular interest in relationship issues, working with individuals and couples.
Before becoming a counsellor, Richard gained a PhD from the University of Warwick in 2006 and has worked in scientific research and teaching environments for over 15 years.

Awa S Ottiger
Awa trained as a person-centred experiential counsellor and psychotherapist at the University of Nottingham. Since graduating, Awa has worked as a therapist in various settings in and outside the UK. She is dedicated to promoting authenticity and human flourishing in individuals and groups and does so as a therapist in private practice, as a tutor on the PCE-CfD course at the University of Nottingham, as a tutor on the MSc Person-centred Experiential Psychotherapy at the Sherwood Institute and as a researcher. Lately, Awa has conducted research on authenticity and ecological-sensitivity and contributed to various conferences on that matter. Awa is a BACP accredited psychotherapist.

Andrea Williams - Assistant Professor
Andrea successfully achieved an MA Person-Centred Experiential Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice at the University of Nottingham and is a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She offers counselling to adults from various backgrounds for their personal growth and development. She holds a Professional Certificate in Pastoral Supervision, and currently undertakes supervision. Andrea has over 20 years’ experience of learning and workforce development within local government, and over 35 years working within the voluntary sector.

Tatiana Woolley - Senior Operations Officer for PCE-CfD
Tatiana provides administrative support to all PCE-CFD staff, supervisors and delegates. She deals with applications, course extension requests, issuing of certification, HEE funding and liaison with NHS Talking Therapies service providers. You can contact Tatiana with any query on how to enrol on our PCE-CFD courses, HEE funding available or the application process. She is a part-time member of staff and only works Monday to Thursday.
