The Shared Parental Leave (SPL) and Shared Parental Pay (ShPP) arrangements detailed in this section apply to eligible parents who are expecting a baby and to parents who have a child placed with them for adoption on or after that date.
The legislation provides both parents with the opportunity to consider the best arrangements to care for their child during the child’s first year and incorporates Shared Parental Pay (ShPP) arrangements.
