- Nottingham's Broadway cinema is giving film fans the rare opportunity to see Leni Riefenstahl's Olympia, commissioned by Hitler to document the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Widely recognised as one of the greatest films of all-time, Olympia is controversial due to its political context.

- Café Philosophique features a series of events bringing philosophical debate and cinema together. Philosophers from the University of Nottingham will be offering talks based around contemporary and classic films. The inaugural event will feature a rare showing of Olympia, an aesthetic document of the 1936 Olympic Games.
