Hopper bus services
Travelling to and from our libraries using the university's free hopper buses
906 evening hopper bus from libraries to Beeston and Lenton
Due to popular demand, the 906 free evening hopper bus service will return for the 2025/26 academic year.
The 906 will run Monday - Saturday during the following dates:
- 20 September - 12 December 2025(Autumn and Spring timetable)
- 12 January - 20 March 2025 (Autumn and Spring timetable)
- 20 April - 19 June 2025 (Summer timetable)
The hopper will not run on Sundays or Bank Holidays.
How do I use the hopper?
The hopper starts at George Green Library (UN31) and will leave every hour (Mon-Sat) from:
- 7.30pm - 10.30pm (Autumn/Spring timetable)
- 8pm - 11pm (Summer timetable)
The hopper will call at a number of bus stops across University Park, Jubilee Campus, Lenton and Beeston. Check the timetable for timings and the order of stops.
If you have your University Card with you, please tap the card reader machine next to the driver. If you don’t have a card, the driver will manually record your journey.
For students based at Sutton Bonington, the 901 hopper bus runs from University Park to Clifton, Sutton Bonington Campus and Kegworth throughout the evening with the last bus leaving just after midnight.
