Postgraduate programmes in Applied Linguistics offered by the School of English are among the most popular in the UK.

Our Masters students attend all CRAL research seminars and are actively involved in the research community. CRAL provides a first-class environment for research training and career development and thus attracts particularly strong applicants at Masters and Research Degree level.

Masters (distance learning)

We are at the forefront of Distance Learning in Applied Linguistics internationally and have developed a cutting-edge virtual learning experience for our distance learning programmes. We now have in excess of 100 students registered on Masters courses run by CRAL staff. We organise regular summer schools and research seminars, which are often recorded and shared with our distance learning PG community.
