Join us for the International Student Summit

ISS-2017

Penicillin. Gravity. Electricity.

Without science, we would not have survived an infection. Without science, we would not have understood the world around us. Without science, we would not have light today. Technology today has brought mankind to the cusp of a brave new world. Or has it?

The world we see today has not come about by chance, but through collaboration in science and technology. The Student Union presents to you the International Student Summit from April 3-7 2017, a tri-campus collaboration between the China, Malaysia and UK campuses. Featuring leading experts, the central topics that will be debated include:

  1. Society and Ethics (social networking, big data, Wikileaks/NSA, global cyber security, cyberterrorism, cyberpeace, privacy, AI, humanity 2.0)
  2. Innovation and Development (IoT, IoV, cryptocurrencies, digital innovation, e-governance)
  3. Teaching and Learning (VLEs, distance learning, MOOCs, P2P, digital tools, institutional change)
  4. Industry (hi-tech agriculture, 3D printing, robotics, logistics)

Shape our future together at the first ever UK edition of the International Students’ Summit. Benefit from an exploration of the picturesque York, participate in the grandiose International Festival. Come join us today as a delegate.
