I obtained my PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Brescia (Italy), where I focused on combining non-invasive brain stimulation with EEG to study brain activity. After that, I moved to Rome for a postdoctoral position at the Fondazione Santa Lucia, where I explored how brain waves (oscillations) contribute to brain connectivity and adaptability in the motor system.
I then moved to the University of Glasgow, to investigate how brain oscillations influence perception in the visual system.
My research focuses on two main topics:
D Veniero, J Gross, S Morand, F Duecker, AT Sack, G Thut. Top-down control of visual cortex by the frontal eye fields through oscillatory realignment. Nature communications (2021).
