This innovative research group investigates human decision-making using theoretical and experimental methods. CeDEx has a global reach, produces cutting-edge research with societal impact and is consistently highly ranked in the field of behavioural economics.

The Nottingham Centre for Research on Globalisation and Economic Policy (GEP)

GEP is the major centre in Europe studying the impact of globalisation and economic policy and one of the biggest of its kind in the world. It has a well-founded reputation in the study of international trade, foreign direct investment, immigration and the political economy of globalisation.

Economic Worlds

This theme is a vibrant and internationally recognised research cluster. They undertake research on a dynamic range of contemporary economic geographical phenomena and processes.

Environment and Society

This theme encompasses research that broadly considers environment-society relationships. Much of their work is framed by concepts of the Anthropocene and sustainable development including the social, cultural and political contexts within which environmental issues and governance strategies are embedded.

Identities, Citizenship, Equalities and Migration Centre (ICEMiC)

ICEMiC brings together researchers who are concerned both with continuity and change; the global and the local; macro level structural forces and micro level everyday practices and experience.

International Centre for Public and Social Policy

With a focus on global social justice, members of this centre undertake research on a number of social and public policy developments at local, regional, national and transnational level. The activities of the icPSP include high-impact publications and events; academic teaching and professional training; and engagement with policy-makers, practitioners and local communities.
