Paying the deposit

All international foundation and one-year postgraduate taught masters applicants must pay a deposit of £2,000 in order to obtain a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). A deposit is not required for postgraduate research applicants, for example PhD, MPhil, MRes, MA/MSc by Research.

Deposits can only be paid once an unconditional offer has been received (with the exception of offers for Nottingham University Business School MBA courses).

Students should pay via card payment in the applicant portal wherever possible, for a swift and efficient transaction, but the deposit can also be paid by cheque, bank draft, bank transfer.

Nottingham University Business School has a different process for paying MBA deposits. The applicant will be asked to pay the deposit before a specified time in order to accept the offer and secure a place on the course. This deposit will only be refunded should the applicant hold a conditional offer but fail to meet the conditions.
