She obtained her MSc. with Major in Geoinformatics and Minor in Software Business and Engineering at Helsinki University of Technology. She started her university education in Surveying and Cartography at Czech Technical University in Prague. Her research topic is the "Development of an Intelligent Decision Support Tool for Enhancing Response to Large CBRN Urban Incidents", supervised by Associate Professor Bob Abrahart and Professor Mike Jackson Vera's main funding source is Intergraph.

Current Project:
Věra's research focuses on issues related to planning and management of response to large urban CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear) incidents. She is interested in application of agent-based modelling into the disaster management domain.
