Why study a foundation programme?

A foundation programme offers you an alternative route into studying at a world-class university.

Most of our undergraduate courses can be accessed via a foundation year, and international students will also have the chance to improve their English language skills.

The foundation year equipped me with the required tools in terms of knowledge and academic mentality in order to succeed in the latter academic years and has also reflected positively in my career.

How to apply

Foundation success story - Charlie Martin

The foundation year prepared me in many ways for my MEng in Mechanical Design, Materials and Manufacture. As well as getting me up to speed with the maths and physics required, it gave me very useful knowledge as to how I should tackle university life. Basically it felt like I hit the ground running when I started my first year.
