MSc student case study
Elitsa Nacheva: MSc Management (2013)
Management Consulting Analyst (Accenture).
"I worked with the Postgraduate Careers team to improve my CV, research companies, and plan the application process.
I had a chance to meet with representatives from top tier consulting firms at networking events which helped me decide which company I wanted to work for.
An application process can be very stressful. I decided to research and apply for suitable vacancies as early as possible in my course so at the end I could focus on researching and writing my dissertation.
The help and support of the careers service was crucial and I wouldn’t have made it to interviews or have found a job without their support. Their advice was timely, informative and helped me shape my CV. The tips I picked up for interview techniques made it possible for me to succeed in the final rounds of the application process.
I would certainly advise other students to seek the support of the careers service as soon into the course as possible. I’d recommend attending networking events with employers take advantage of all that is offered through the Postgraduate Career team."
