We also offer a range of cross-disciplinary courses in partnership with other schools at the university, including MSc Communication and Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Energy and Entrepreneurship, and Cultural Industries and Entrepreneurship, for those who want to combine the study of entrepreneurship practice with another postgraduate degree subject.
Company based challenge - Entrepreneurial Consultancy Project
During your time studying for the MSc Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Management, you will undertake the module 'Entrepreneurial Consultancy Project'.
This module offers a company based challenge where students act as consultants, addressing real-world business challenges. Participating start-ups and companies assign projects to student groups, presenting diverse challenges aimed at expanding market reach and visibility. Over three months, students collaborate to gather market and stakeholder data, analyse findings, and create comprehensive reports with recommendations.
Students and participating companies work closely with this hands-on challenge, which is supported by the academic team and Professors of Practice in the ESI department. The skills acquired are essential for becoming confident entrepreneurs and enhancing employability.
Students present their reports to participating businesses, the academic team, and business school staff at a final event.
Participating companies and students talk about their experiences of taking part in the company-based challenge.
