Gravity

Gravitation is the least understood fundamental interaction. It links theoretical physics with cosmology and astrophysics and its study has triggered breakthroughs in geometry, partial differential equations, numerical methods, and statistical analysis.

Our expertise and research interests span all aspects of gravity, including black holes and compact stars, gravitational waves, tests of general relativity and alternative theories, quantum gravity and cosmology, quantum fields in curved spacetimes, and tabletop experiments of processes that mimic gravitational effects.
