Veterinary Medicine and Science at Nottingham

Join Nigel Kendall, Associate Professor at Nottingham, and student Harry as they break down Nottingham’s three veterinary courses, the benefits of each and what student life is really like.

If you're considering studying veterinary medicine, our School of Veterinary Medicine and Science offers a unique and flexible route to your degree. Associate Professor and Sub-Dean for Admissions, Nigel Kendall, joins Harry, a current veterinary student, to explore the undergraduate veterinary courses, student life on campus and the outstanding facilities available at Sutton Bonington.

Harry shares his reasons for choosing Nottingham, particularly the benefit of remaining on the Sutton Bonington campus for the entire course duration. This consistency creates a strong, close-knit community, both within the Vet School and across other disciplines like biosciences.

The curriculum covers everything from emergency critical care to more unusual skills like blood sampling tarantulas and performing anaesthetics on fish. Students engage with a broad range of species and clinical scenarios, ensuring they graduate with comprehensive competencies.
