Innovation in practice

Not only can you explore our campus and Nottingham city with this map, but it's a great example of innovative research at the University of Nottingham.

The University of Nottingham’s ‘City as Lab’ is a creative engine for place-led research using digital and data innovation. It connects researchers, communities and partners in collaborative projects that tackle real-world challenges in the Nottingham city region.

City as Lab researchers have collaborated with Nottingham City Council to produce the 3D Photographic Mesh, a virtual model of Nottingham which includes our University Park and Jubilee Campuses.

A dynamic tour around this model was then created by researchers in the School of Geography.
