The Greenaway Scholarship

For students who lived and attended school or college in the East Midlands

This Potential Scholarship provides financial support for students from lower income families who live and attended school or college in the East Midlands. 

If you are chosen for this award, you will receive funding throughout your course to support your time at university and you won't have to pay it back after you graduate.

Eligibility criteria explained

To be eligible for the 2023 Greenaway Scholarship, you must:

  • Must live in the East Midlands
  • Have undertaken all your secondary education in a state maintained school or college in the East Midlands
  • Have a household income less than £25,000
  • Must be in your entry year of study (Foundation year or Year 1)

Plus

  • Be enrolling in Autumn 2023 for the first year of a full-time undergraduate degree at the University of Nottingham (UK Campus), this being your year of entry to the university
  • Not have studied for an undergraduate degree before starting at Nottingham
  • Have Home funding status
  • Not be receiving external sponsorship for your course e.g. from industry/employers (University Core bursaries and Government grants do not affect your eligibility)
  • Have had their household income assessed for your statutory government support and consented to share this information with the university

How to apply

Applications for the Greenaway Scholarship are now closed. Further information regarding the 2024 entry scholarships will be provided in summer 2024.

Applications will be looked at once the closing date has passed and all applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application by email to their university email account within 4 weeks of the closing date.
