Your aerospace journey starts here

Congratulations! You've earned a place at one of the UK's leading schools of aerospace engineering, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome you.

If you haven’t already accepted your offer, it’s time to take the next step and start shaping your future.

A world-class education with heart and ambition

We’re proud to be ranked in the top 10 in the UK for Aerospace in the Complete University Guide 2026, the Guardian University Guide 2026 and the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026. These aren’t just rankings. They’re a reflection of the quality of teaching, the strength of our research, and the success of our students.

Excellence that matters

90% of our research rated as world-leading or internationally excellent in the latest Research Excellence Framework. This means your lectures, seminars, and assignments are built on the latest thinking and real-world insights.

You’ll be learning from experts who are leading the charge in net zero aviation and changing the future of transport electrification.

A place to grow, learn and belong

University Park is a stunning blend of nature, history, and culture. With acres of green parkland, beautiful historic buildings, and a picturesque boating lake, it’s a truly inspiring place to live and learn.

You’ll study in dedicated aerospace engineering facilities, with flight simulators, space labs, a wind tunnel and group design studios.

Shape your journey, your way

You’ll study a range of modules that blend Aerospace with design, electronic engineering, fluid mechanics, aerodynamics and performance. Your learning will cover topics in flight physics, airframe and systems. Your final year will also allow you to tailor your learning through a variety of specialist modules.

Learning that goes beyond the classroom

You could study at our campus in China, and if you’re an MEng student, you spend your third year at a Universitas 21 institution, like the University of Sydney or University of Hong Kong

This experience will introduce you to new academic environments, teaching styles, and cultural viewpoints. This will broaden your intellectual horizons and develop your critical thinking.

If you’ve opted for a degree with a year in industry, you’ll be earning a salary while gaining hands-on experience. This is a great way to bring your course to life in an active working environment.

“I gained transferable skills including management, organisation of projects and presentation skills which could be applied in my studies as well as providing examples in graduate applications.

Alex Hyer. Placement with Airbus.
