Join DesignSoc, our largest product design community and discover amazing opportunities.
Design Soc is run by product design and manufacture students and is the perfect way to socialise with your course mates, make new friends and have fun.

The PDM Design Studios
Here at UoN, you’ll meet other people passionate about design and study in facilities that you’ll use in your career. You’ll enjoy a varied learning environment and get hands on experience with tools that are used in industry.
Our Product Design Studios are the home of product design. Newly renovated, each desk is equipped with either a digital drawing tablet or a screen, to help you complete your project work. The walls are covered with high-definition digital displays, which display examples of previous projects to inspire you, whilst showing the possibilities of the designs you can create. With so much inspiration all around you and all the tools you need, you’ll be able to design anything you can dream of!
Learning that goes beyond the classroom
If you choose to study one of our courses with an industrial year, you'll get the chance to undertake a year-long work placement. This is a great way to bring your course to life in an active working environment. It'll also enable you to build your skills and experience the challenges and innovations in the field.
