Congratulations! You've earned a place at one of the UK's leading schools of Economics, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome you.

If you haven't already accepted your offer, it’s time to take the next step and start shaping your future.

A world-class education with heart and ambition

We’re proud to be Top 10 in the UK for Economics in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026. That’s not just a ranking. It’s a reflection of the quality of teaching, the strength of our research, and the success of our students.

Excellence that matters

99% of our research was rated as world-leading or internationally excellent in the latest Research Excellence Framework. This means your lectures, seminars, and assignments are built on the latest thinking and real-world insights.

Our academics are experts influencing global policy, advising governments, and leading groundbreaking studies through our seven international research centres.

A place to grow, learn and belong

University Park is a stunning blend of nature, history, and culture. With acres of green parkland, beautiful historic buildings, and a picturesque boating lake, it’s a truly inspiring place to live and learn.

With access to Bloomberg terminals, Datastream, and a Financial Times subscription, you’ll have the tools to explore the real-world economy from day one.

Peer mentoring

From the moment you join, you’ll be part of a supportive, inclusive community. Through our peer mentoring scheme, you’ll be matched with a trained second-year student who’s been where you are and who’s ready to help. Whether it’s choosing modules, finding your way around campus, or learning how to take great notes, your mentor will be there to guide you.

Learning that goes beyond the classroom

You could study at our campus in China or Malaysia, or with a partner institution in the USA, Australia, and Europe.

This experience will introduce you to new academic environments, teaching styles, and cultural viewpoints. This will broaden your intellectual horizons and develop your critical thinking.

You offer a range of options that will help you to:

  • Strengthen your CV with essential work experience
  • Gain a wider understanding of the working environment
  • Apply study skills in practical environments

  • Get inside access to how industries operate in sectors such as accountancy, banking, consultancy, financial services and technology
  • Take part in projects, work shadowing and presentations

  • Enhance your learning by putting your studies into action

You can opt to take a year in between your second and final year to work full-time in a role that matches your interests. This is a great way to bring your course to life in an active working environment. Past students have worked as:
