As well as support from our Teaching Officer, a lecturer will be assigned to act as your personal tutor, and will be available to offer guidance and advice
You will also receive support from our Peer-Assisted Study Support (PASS) scheme designed to help you with the step up to university-level maths.
Assessment is mainly by written examination with some coursework. You may also be assessed through:
- reports
- computer-based assignments
- essays
- dissertations.
Your final degree is based on marks obtained during your second and subsequent years of study.
Mathematics with Statistics named degree
If you take a sufficient number of statistics modules you will be eligible to receive a degree in Mathematics with Statistics. This route is available to all students our Mathematics BSc or Mathematics MMath courses and you do not have to opt for it explicitly when making your application through UCAS.
