The nmRC Electron Microscopy Suite

The nmRC is home to a state-of-art electron microscopy facility open to students, staff and external use.

The nmRC is proudly home to a collection of world leading electron microscopy expertise, infrastructure and personnel. With three Transmission Electron Microscopes (TEMs), eight Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEMs) and an Electron Microprobe the centre offers a diverse range of electron microscopy specialisms to support research in a number of fields and disciplines.

The instruments are configured to underpin fundamental and applied nanoscience, materials characterisation and processing, supporting work across the University and beyond.

The microscopes are supported by a fully equipped preparation laboratory, particle sizing suite and technical staff to complement holistic analysis.
