Choosing your progression degree

You may already know what degree you want to progress to. Or, you might decide along the way, and we can guide you through your choices.

You’ll explore a range of subjects during your foundation year, and there is dedicated time to discuss progression, so you choose the best degree to fit your strengths and interests.

By the end of the foundation year, you will have developed a unique insight into which Arts and Humanities degree you want to study – and why.

Exceeding your foundation year offer - A level and BTEC students

If you exceed your foundation year offer, we might be able to make you an alternative direct entry degree offer, based on meeting the relevant entry requirements, and availability of places. These offers are made once A level results have been published.

If you are certain of your choice of progression degree, but are hesitant about your final grades, you may consider applying for foundation year and undergraduate courses at the University of Nottingham. If you choose one as firm and the other as insurance you can then be assured of a place on either programme provided you meet our minimum foundation year entry requirements.
