Nursing Practice Learning

Practice learning accounts for 50% of all courses leading to registration as a nurse. Learning in practice occurs in selected wards, departments, schools, health centres, primary healthcare teams and other settings within the local NHS and independent healthcare sector and the social service sector.

The individual practice learning team pages at each education centre contain information about the placements covered, support mechanisms for mentors and students on placements, student placement evaluation summaries, and, where available, further information about membership and meetings.
