Feathered friends arrive at Sutton Bonington

Thanks to the efforts of Tori Charlton and the Sutton Bonington Development Group, there are some new feathered residents on campus. The SB campus has been delighted to welcome a new flock of 12 hens.

The hens will be used in various teaching and learning scenarios across the Biosciences courses.

The project was initiated more than 12 months ago but suffered numerous setbacks including Avian Flu, rising materials costs and contractor issues but it was worth it to see them roaming around happily in their paddock and clucking contentedly.

Our feathered friends have only been able to join us on campus and make a huge difference to the well-being of our students, staff and local community, thanks to generous alumni support.

Thank you so much for your contributions.
