Research cell biology in the Nottingham BBSRC DTP

Cell biology is a scientific discipline focused on the analysis of cell function, structure and interaction. Cell biology is focused on the concept of the cell as the basic unit of life. It uses techniques such as advanced microscopy to analyse the composition of prokaryotic or eukaryotic cells, and to study the function of healthy or diseased cells. This discipline encompasses the study of the subcellular compartments, cell communication and signalling, cell cycle and cell metabolism.
