Research structural biology in the Nottingham BBSRC DTP

Structural biology focusses on the architecture and shape of biological macromolecules, especially those of proteins and nucleic acids. This research area will include studies into how the primary structure of a protein molecule defines its tertiary structure, the analysis of quaternary structure, protein structure and structural bioinformatics and protein interactions. Other subject matter includes studies on the structure of viruses, structural genomics and protein engineering.
