Research microbiology in the Nottingham BBSRC DTP

Microbiology is the study of microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi and viruses. This research area includes interactions of microbes with animals and plants, and their responses to infection. Other research will include cellular processes of microbes including genetics, metagenomics, studies with pharmaceutical applications, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and the ecology and evolution of microbes in their natural environment.
