PRIMIS digital tools run in Microsoft Excel and require VBA macros.
Each tool has had a security certificate applied to confirm the authenticity, identity and reliability of our tools.
PRIMIS digital tools are created within a secure environment at the University of Nottingham and then published to a secure Online Resource Area.
GP practices that have been granted access (to the secure Online Resource Area) can obtain the tool/s by downloading a zipped folder. Please note that Terms and Conditions for Use must be accepted.
Instruction guides for the application contain comprehensive instructions to enable macros (additional instructions are also present on this webpage, above).
The following settings must be applied on each PC that will run a PRIMIS digital tool:
- enable macros to run with notification,
- allow access to the VBA project object model,
- make the University of Nottingham a trusted publisher,
- make the PRIMIS applications folder a trusted location.
