We need scientists to respond to some of the biggest environmental challenges ranging from climate change to biodiversity, loss of species and habitats and environmental pollution. You'll develop the skills to tackle these problems and help deliver a sustainable future.
This integrated master’s degree is designed to take you further. In your final year, you’ll complete your own research project, extending your knowledge of environmental science as well as developing your research expertise and skills in data analysis, project management and communication. These skills are highly valued in environmental consultancy, conservation, policy and research careers.
Throughout the course, you’ll study a wide range of subjects including geography and biology. You can specialise in the areas you are passionate about – such as environmental impact assessment, renewable energies, environmental policy or pollution monitoring.
As well as the theory and background, we’ll teach you the practical skills needed for a career in the environmental sector. All environmental sciences students will get involved in fieldwork, a central part of the course.
