We're all about providing you the platform to build your networks across the alumni community, with our in-person events being the perfect opportunity to do so!

We host events across the world, either by members of the alumni team or with the support of our fantastic cohort of International Alumni Ambassadors.

Here's a preview of some of the events we have lined up for 2026.

2026 milestones

We have not one, not two, but three significant milestones during 2026, which will be of interest to many of you in the alumni community.

We have already launched our celebrations to mark 100 years of Pharmacy - as part of these we will be hosting a number of webinars, with alumni sharing how Pharmacy has shaped their lives.

We will also be marking 100 years of the New Theatre. The UK's only fully student-run theatre, it's been the training ground for world-renowned actors like Ruth Wilson (History, 2003) and Theo James (Philosophy, 2007). Look out for information about a special reunion event in the summer.

Finally, we're marking 75 years of Industrial Economics - a degree that has produced CEOs, CFOs, founders and advisors who have shaped industries around the world. We'll be hosting a reunion in June.

Alumni insight events

We'll also be welcoming a fascinating selection of alumni back to campus to share their career stories with students, staff and fellow Nottingham graduates. These events are a great way to spend time back on campus and also take a little inspiration from people who have made a success in their chosen field.

One of the first we have pencilled in is An Audience with Andy Wilson (Computer Science, 2001) in May 2026. Now Chief Operating Officer for Sledgehammer Games, Andy will be talking about his hugely successful career in the computer games industry.

Global networking events

Our usual array of free, informal networking activities will also be taking place across the world. Hosted by your alumni team or the fantastic International Alumni Ambassadors, they are the perfect opportunity to grow your personal networks.

Our first UK-based 'Nottingham Nights' networking event is pencilled in for Thursday 5 March at The Rectory in Birmingham - look out for an invite in your inbox in the New Year.

Other selected locations on our itinerary so far include:

  • February: Mexico
  • March: Istanbul
  • April: Beijing, Hong Kong, London, Shanghai
  • May: Brazil, Nottingham
  • June: New York

All our open invite events will be listed on these pages, with alumni in the relevant geographical areas receiving an invitation by email - so make sure your details are up to date!
