Gray's Inn, London

Join Amanda Horton-Mastin (PhD Chemistry, 1986), Head of Foundation at The Wimbledon Foundation, and Professor Simon Mosey, Director of the Haydn Green Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, at Gray's Inn in London as they discuss Amanda's journey and how to lead through uncertainty.

Amanda's comfort zone of dealing with crises is how she thrives through unpredictability. Having spent 20 years at the heart of Comic Relief, growing its success and scale from the early days, Amanda is experienced at being agile in high-pressure environments – the rigid timeframe of Red Nose Day meant that when things went wrong, there was no time to delay. Balancing a scientific background with a heart-driven instinct, Amanda has questioned which of the heart or the head have the more important role to play in leading through uncertainty.

Learn how creative and analytical ways of thinking can work together as Amanda and Simon consider how to thrive and lead through uncertainty. Before and after the talk, there will be the opportunity to network with fellow alumni and university staff.
