Explore the capability of our unique tools to see the insights and stories in spatial data.

We offer bespoke PARM demos at City as Lab, hire of mobile PARM rigs to light up events, and geospatial data challenge workshops customised and delivered with our research experts.

Ready to unlock the spatial dimensions of your data?

PARM demos

See spatial data in entirely news ways through a curiosity-inspiring demo of our PARM tools and Nottingham 3D photographic mesh. Our experts will show the unique capability of projecting data onto physical 3D models using both our large-scale Nottingham city model (winner of the 2024 British Cartographic Society Award for ‘Map of the Year’) and our portable PARMs.  Demos last for 1 hour and will show the possibilities of integrating and animating data in ways that enable organisations, policymakers and businesses to form insights in new ways.

Demos can be combined with workshop sessions to explore specific data visualisation needs.

PARM hire

We have a variety of portable PARMs that can give your spatial data a ‘wow’ factor at events, conferences, venues, meetings and exhibitions. The models are 1x1 metres and have their own transportable rig and projector. We currently have portable models of Nottingham City, Nottingham Unitary Authority, East Midlands Combined County Authority, the wards of Bulwell and The Meadows, and more. The models require a semi-dark space for best effect and can be provided with a compact covering marquee (3x3x3 metres) where needed. City as Lab can provide training or event support.
