What is Urban Room @ City as Lab?
The Urban Room @ City as Lab is a neutral space with a creative atmosphere that helps researchers, communities and policymakers connect and collaborate in conversations about the future of Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands.
It is inspired by Nottingham City Council’s Urban Room initiative and the Co-PLACE ethos of bringing communities, local authorities and industry together to deliver better places for people to live and work. Encouraging dialogue and engagement across disciplines and sectors, Urban Room @ City as Lab is a forum for listening and thinking around broad, intersecting challenges - social, economic, health, culture, environment.
Please note that some Urban Room @ City as Lab events are by invitation only, subject to the purpose and theme.

How can I get involved?
If you have a project or theme for an Urban Room @ City as Lab that can bring people together and fast-track discussion about a challenge or opportunity relating to Nottingham, Nottinghamshire or the East Midlands - e.g. improving youth outcomes, safer streets, climate change, mental health etc - please provide details in the form below and we will be happy to discuss with you.
City as Lab can provide event support and enhance discussion by visualising, integrating and making sense of place-based data using our PARM, 3D Photographic Mesh and City Data Connector tools.
We especially encourage Urban Rooms that connect, or are looking to connect, people with different expertise and/or organisational perspectives.
