Nottingham Rail Station and tram stop

Nottingham Train Station offers rail connections to a wide range of regional and national destinations including: London St Pancras, Leicester, Derby, Sheffield, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Peterborough, Norwich and Cardiff. Visit their website for more information

Its only a five or ten minute walk to CMC from Nottingham Station, and its even quicker by e-bike or e-scooter which are both available for hire at the Station using the Lime or Super-pedestrian apps

Nottingham Station is also the closest tram stop to Castle Meadow Campus. The tram connects the campus with destinations to the north (Bulwell and Hucknall), east (University Park, Beeston and Toton), and south (Wilford and Clifton). Visit here for more information.

 

 

Nottingham city centre car parks

Nottingham City Council offer plenty of spaces at multi-storey and other car parks, along with on-street parking and cashless zones around the city centre. 

Or avoid the city centre traffic, by parking at one of Nottingham’s Park & Ride sites and catching the bus or tram to the city centre. Find out more.

 

 

Buses and coaches

Within a 5 minute walk there are numerous bus services connecting the university to destinations to the south and west of Nottingham:

  • Castle Boulevard stops are served by Skylink Nottingham which runs between the city centre and East Midlands Airport via University Boulevard and Beeston
  • Queens Drive stops are served by the 49 to Queens Drive Park & Ride
  • Further buses serve the stops on Canal Street and Carrington Street – with Canal Street served by the 34 which provides a link to Lenton and University Park, with a stop on Derby Road adjacent to the southern entrance to Jubilee Campus
  • Broad Marsh Bus Station is served by Trent Barton services to/from destinations in south Nottinghamshire.

Broad Marsh bus station is also served by National Express coaches, offering long distance coach services to UK airports and cities including London, Birmingham, and Manchester. 

 

 

Cycling

University Park can be accessed in just 15 minutes by bike, using the segregated cycle route along Castle Boulevard and Abbey Street. Other routes are available.

The Nottingham Canal towpath provides an alterative off-road route towards University Park, and to the east the towpath can be used to access Nottingham Station and then continues south to Trent Bridge and West Bridgford.

There is secure cycle storage at Castle Meadow Campus. Please visit reception to 'sign in' as a guest and collect the store entry code.
