Step 1: Activate your IT account 

    1. You will receive an email when your IT account is ready. Ensure you have your Associate ID and you review the guidance for choosing a new password
    2. Go to the Associate IT account page
    3. Enter your personal email address and associate ID
    4. Click ‘Continue’
    5. Make a note of your username, temporary password and work email address. Copy the temporary password and paste it when you are prompted. 
    6. Follow the steps to set a new password and please remember this
    7. Set up Multi-Factor Authentication using this guidance Multi-Factor Authentication

     

    Your sponsor has agreed an end date for your IT account. This is a maximum of one year, which is renewable one month before the account is deactivated.

    The data in your IT account will be deleted 90 days after your last working day. Please work with your sponsor to identify any data that needs to be saved before you leave. 

     

    Your responsibilities

    You must:

    • Take full responsibility for activity within your account and adhere to university IT policies
    • Protect your account details and password
    • Contact us if the account is no longer needed

    Your account will be deactivated or suspended if:

    • You do not adhere to the IT policies
    • Your account is suspected to be, or is, compromised
    • There is a disciplinary or legal case against you
    • You are considered to no longer be a registered Associate user (regular account reviews are conducted) 

    Step 2: Update your details in UniCore

    1. Go to UniCore and click ‘Company single sign-on’
    2. Click on the bell icon on the top right-hand corner
    3. Select ‘New starter declaration’
    4. Read through the declaration and click ‘Submit’ to accept it
    5. Update your personal details, emergency contacts and address, marital status, disability information, or citizenship and documents
    6. Update your payment details
    7. View your employment details or your journey  
       

    Step 3: Recommended apps for your mobile phone

    We recommend you install these free apps on your mobile phone using your app store.  

    SafeZone

    For the SafeZone app, enter your university email address and password. Use this app to:

    • Alert the Security team if you are working alone or out of hours, you feel unsafe or see someone in trouble
    • Request medical assistance for accidents or injuries on campus
    • Access mental health resources

    MealPass

    MealPass can be used to purchase food and drink on our campuses. This app also gives you access to discounts and special offers.
