Step 1: Activate your new IT account

IT accounts are automatically created for staff. You can start using your new account on your contracted start date.

You will need your employee ID, surname and date of birth. If you do not have your employee ID, please contact your line manager or HR.

Follow these steps to activate your IT account:

  1. Go to IT Accounts
  2. Click on ‘UK campus staff’ and follow the on-screen prompts
  3. Create a password by following these steps
  4. Set up an authentication method by following these steps

You will have an IT account for as long as you are working at the university. The account will be deactivated on your contracted leave date.

You must take full responsibility for activity within your account and adhere to our IT policies

An IT account may be closed if these policies are contravened, an account has been compromised or there is a potential disciplinary or legal case against a member of staff. You are required to take appropriate care to protect your account details and passwords.
