My Journey from Fossil Fuels to Renewables - Energy Institute guest lecture with Yasmin Ali

Starting with her first role as an engineering student in a gas fired power station, to working in oil & gas and travelling to offshore rigs and platforms, Yasmin eventually left fossil fuels behind in search of a role in the energy transition. Joining the UK Government’s energy department, Yasmin found joy and meaning working on energy innovation funding, before switching to RWE to work as a green hydrogen project developer, a battery project developer, and now a team lead for a battery software development team.
